U14.1 Off to the Grand Final!

The U14.1 Team played the League Champions, Bally, at Shellharbour in the Final today. The game was a fairly scrappy affair with both Teams probably coming out pretty nervous with a lot to play for. About half way through the first half RV won a corner which was put into the box by Sam Luyten. The ball came back out to Sam and he crossed it again to find Jacob Kentta who controlled the ball well took a nice shot, giving the Bally GK no chance to make a save.

Russell Vale had a few more chances through the game but were unable to capitalise. Bally had a last minute shot on goal which went over Braeden’s head and hit the side post, taking a fortunate bounce out into the field of play with a few seconds remaining.

The good news is that the boys won and played pretty ugly. If they can pull it together and play to their potential next week there is a lot of confidence that they will do well, against a Figtree side they have had no luck against over the last few years.

Kick off in the Grand Final is 12:15 at Albion Park on the Main Field.

BE PROUD, BE GREEN, BE THERE!
