RESULTS FROM COMPETITION TEAMS ROUND 3

RVJFC 11.3 vs. Warilla

The Under 11.3 side put in another solid performance to record a 7-1 away win against a determined Warilla Team. Warilla Team won 4th division last year and in doing so were promoted to 3rd division this year. They provided stiff opposition but were outplayed by a free flowing and fluent Russell Vale team. The Coach was pretty happy with the way the team played and the manner in which goals were scored and shared amongst the Team.

RVJFC 11.4 vs. Wollongong

The team lost 3-1 in a close match on Saturday morning at Wollongong. The Team is back playing at Cawley Park this weekend which will be their first match at home.

RVJFC 13.1 vs. Balgownie

The 13.1 boys played well and were unlucky not to win against the division 1 Runners Up from last year. They held the lead for all but the final 2 minutes off the match where Balgownie scored off a corner to tie the game up at 1-1. It was a good performance against a quality Team and will give the team confidence moving forward.

RVJFC 13.1G vs Balgownie.

The girls went down 2-0 in a tight match at Cawley Park on Sunday morning. The Team had plenty of scoring opportunities in the first half but were unable to convert whilst Balgownie did with their limited opportunities in the second half.

RVJFC Under 15.2G vs. Oak Flats

The girls played their best game of the season and in the end were unlucky to go down 2-0. It was 0-0 at half time and we were unlucky not too put one of our chances in the back of the net. To Oak flats credit when they got a few opportunities in the second half they converted, however the score line was not indicative of how close the match was. With a few key positional changes this week working well the next few games should see the best from the girls as our season proper kicks off next round.

Our game kicks off at 11.00am and it would be great to see a good turnout of Russell Vale families to support our Team as they take on a tough Wollongong outfit. Thanks to Garry Luyten for organising game and
