NEWSLETTER ROUND 8

Well done to both the 13.1 boys’ team and the 11.4 team who both had to play two games this weekend due to the washout in round 2 and the need for makeup games to be played. It was a big effort backing up on the Sunday after the windy and wild conditions they had to endure at Cawley Park on the Saturday morning.

Under 13.1 State Cup Update

Good luck to Julio, Garry and all the boys from the under 13.1’s as they play their second round State Cup match this Sunday morning. They have the unenviable task of playing at 9am up in Manly and on behalf of all parents and players in the Club- we wish the side the very best of luck!!

Ground Marshall Duties

For all competition games we require 3 ground marshals to patrol the field. We would like one each on the eastern and western side of the field and another doing laps of the field every 10-15minutes or so. This will ideally be enough to control any overzealous spectators or coaches and managers.

We also need one ground official to walk game officials onto the ground at the start of the game and also escort them off at half time and full time. This will ensure the safety of our officials at all times.

Coffee Van at Cawley Park

Another new initiative of the committee is to provide our parents and spectators the opportunity for quality coffee on those chilly Saturday mornings. Michael our resident Barista will be down at Cawley Park this Saturday morning, so for all you coffee lovers out there make sure you pay Michael a visit for that early morning caffeine hit- you won’t be disappointed!!
