The Barcelona of Cawley Project is progressing nicely. Coach Smart is a very happy coach after today’s effort. Despite going down 4-1 to Woonona the development of the boys was well and truly on display today!!!! One thing I am really enjoying about the 9White squad is that every time I raise the bar, or focus on area of improvement, the boys have rallied and answered my call. Last week I asked for more focus toward getting “stuck in” and not hanging back. Today they improved in this area. We have been working on positional play and fluent passing, and what a brilliant display of fluent football was turned on by the boys. I couldn’t single out any one player, such was the team focus on moving the football. With out a doubt the boys in green played the better football. With a bit more luck with the bounce of the ball, and take out a couple of wonder strikes, and today’s result would have been very different. I call for all not to loose focus. More positive results are just around the corner. I have a few more areas of development to work on over the coming weeks. We are going great!!! Keep up the good work boys.
