Registration Day a massive success!!!!

Thanks to everyone who turned up and registered for the 2010 season. Overall the two days were a success with a few surprises along the way. The biggest surprise has been in the ranks of the girls’ competition teams. It looks very promising that we’ll field two all-girl sides, one in U11 and one in the U13 comp. If you missed out on the registeration days and still intend to play with RVJFC in 2010 please don’t delay, phone or Registrar, Andrew 4285 4095 (after 5:30pm), or Garry on 42 851654 to arrange to get registered. It’s important that we get the numbers in now so we can make final decisions on how many teams to register. We still have vacancies in most age divisions.

Or Roo Ball (U6 to U9) numbers remain pretty consistent. We’ll definitely have two teams in the U6, 7, and 8s. We will also have as at least two teams in the U9s.

We have enough girls from the U9, 10 and 11 age groups get together to form a team for the U11 competition which is very, very exciting for everyone involved. I even have a Dad who has offered to help out with the coaching duties.

Most of the U10s from last year have come back again so there’s a team ready and waiting to go for the U11s, same story for the U16s this year which is looking like a very strong side.

The surprise packet has been the U13 girls. It’s amazing what a bit of energy, and a lot of texting, can do but a few girls have rallied together and nearly got enough for a team already. With a couple of months to go before kickoff I’m sure they’ll have enough for a team. Well done girls, and thanks for coming along!!!!!!

We are still waiting for the U15s to come along. We know you are out there, so please get organised and get registered!!!!

Thanks to the hard working committee for putting in the effort and helping make the Rego Day run like clockwork.

regards,

Garry
