Rd 7 U13G v Bulli – Under lights!

Bulli- 1 Vs Russell Vale 0

Our Team had their first experience of a Friday night game under lights at Cawley Park last week. A big crowd had turned up to support the girls and they all would of walked away very impressed with our girls performance.

The game was easily our roughest and toughest of the year and both Teams were very willing in defence and contesting the ball. There were very few chances in the 1st half and Bulli were fortunate to grab their chance with both hands to post a 1-0 lead at half time.

We had our chances in the 2nd half to equalize but unfortunately were not able to convert some good lead up work from our girls in the mid field. The chasing/ running and competing for every ball continued right up until the fulltime whistle and the Bulli Team would of had some very anxious moments with our all out attack.

In the end it wasn’t our night but the Team can take alot of positives from the game and it once agained highlighted the character and enthusiasm that exists in this side. With the skills clearly improving this week- the signs are looking good for the next few weeks.

Our next game is an away game vs Coledale at Coledale next Sunday at 12pm. This will again be a big test for the girls and one they are no doubt ready for!!

Thanks once again to the parents who helped put up nets, did ground duty, ran the line and worked in the canteen. Your assistance makes Mark and my life a whole easier and is very much appreciated by both of us.

Till next week.

Michael
