Good luck to all teams from the under 6’s thru to the under 15 girls for this weekend of football!

Cawley Park action this weekend

Our last round of the year is probably one of our biggest of the year at Cawley Park. We start off with 3 games on Friday night and then an under 8 hub on Saturday morning plus Under 10’s Greens playing.

If you have nothing planned for Friday night, why not come down and cheer on our mighty cobras as they play under lights for the last time this year! We will have BBQ in full swing so why not give yourself the night of cooking and come down and watch some soccer and enjoy a snag sandwich or 2!

6.00pm RVJFC U11.3’s VS Balgownie

7.00pm RVJFC U11.4’s VS Bulli

8.00pm RVJFC 15G.2 VS Coledale

SATURDAY MORNING GAMES AT CAWLEY PARK:

8.30am- RVJFC U10 Greens VS Kiama

Plus under 8 hub.

RVJFC Under 6 Yellow action from round 15

During Round 15 Russell Vale Yellow U6 turned up to the mighty Cawley Park to play like they were ready to play in the Olympics.  Only issue was the opposition did not turn up.  So the mums turned around and put the Under 6 team to the challenge.  The game was played in usually good spirits besides a few near misses of mums kicking the ball over the kid’s heads.  Below is a picture of the day.

Thank You to Russell Vale Yellow Under 6 team for and supporting families for a Fantastic Year.

Pizza/ Fun night/ Fun day

RVJFC Committee has once again approved funds for teams to have a fun afternoon to celebrate the year. We have approved $5.00 per player and it can be used for a team activity such as a pizza night after training or some coaches last year opted to take their Team to McDonald’s after the last game of the season. If coach/manager could pay for activity/ meal and collect a receipt they can then be reimbursed by our Club Treasurer Dave Hughes. His email is at the top of this page for organisation of payment and collection of relevant receipts. Any questions regarding activity please forward them onto myself.

Upcoming Events

Committee Meeting Tuesday 21st August at Woonona Bulli RSL

Our next Committee Meeting will be held this coming Tuesday night at 7pm at the WBRSL. Our Club Meetings are a good way to have a say in the running of the Club, share and discuss ideas and also have some fun with other community minded individuals. Our main objective is to ensure we make the playing/ coaching and supporting experience at RVJFC enjoyable for everyone!

Registration 2013

Just to give you an early heads up regarding registration procedure for 2013, we will be moving to online registrations from next year onwards. Andrew Hardy our Club registrar has put some info together on how to register and I have included it below. Closer to rego day 2013, we will send out emails and have posts on websites etc to make sure each player/ parent is aware of new rego procedure. The new process follows what most if not all Clubs are now doing in the Illawarra association.

Player Registrations for Season 2013

Football South Coast (FSC) is now using an online or web based registration process for Players, Coaches, Managers and Officials. The system is administered and run under the name ‘MyFootballClub’. The link to the website is: www.myfootballclub.com.au Russell Vale Junior Football Club (RVJFC) is requesting that all players and officials visit the website to familiarise themselves with it prior to registering next year.

Registering online prior to the official 2013 registration days will eliminate filling in paper work as this will be done online where players will also be able to update registration card photos. Ultimately this will simplify and speed up the whole registration process. The only online part of the registration process that RVJFC will not be allowing is payment of season fees. Fees will need to be paid in person on the official registration days where the online details will be checked by RVJFC. Instructions on how to register online through MyFootballClub will be published and distributed in early 2013.

Presentation Day

RVJFC Presentation day will be held on Sunday 28th October. This year we will be holding it at a new venue at the Woonona Bulli RSL Club auditorium as we have out grown the Russell Vale Community Hall. More details will be confirmed over coming weeks and will be sent out in future newsletters.

Good luck and enjoy the weekend of football!

Regards

Michael Benn

RVJFC President.
